Vikki Carey

Partnership Development Manager

Vikki’s career in Financial Services began at the Prudential in 1998, where her first role was in the IFA Customer Call Centre dealing with all sorts of questions from basic valuations to chargeable event calculations and trust queries.  She quickly worked her way to become an Account Manager in the IFA Direct Team where she was involved specifically with network firms across the South and focussed mainly on investments, annuities and IHT planning.  This enabled Vikki to gain excellent insights into the different ways that firms and advisers operate and showed her how to help them grow their businesses.  She was also part of the Account Management Team when the PruFund was launched and designed some of the first material used to explain the fund to advisers.

After a career break to raise her two daughters, Vikki returned to financial services in 2021 as a Business Development Manager at Guardian Financial Services, becoming a specialist in helping advisers protect their clients financially.  In 2023, she moved to The Openwork Partnership as a Partnership Development Manager where her role involves helping and guiding firms with all aspects of running their businesses including training and development, staying up to date with industry changes and regulation and planning for the future.  In March 2026, Vikki took Cavendish Brooke under her wing and we are delighted to have her on our team!

Outside of work, Vikki was a school governor for 7 years focussing on communications and recruitment and working closely with the Special Educational Needs team.  During Covid lockdowns, she was a welfare officer for a local charity contacting vulnerable and shielded people, mostly elderly and on their own. This provided a link to the outside world and to make sure that they were safe and had everything they needed as well as helping to coordinate with the charity if they required help.

Vikki lives near Wokingham, Berkshire with her family and enjoys the local country walks when not managing her daughter’s netball team!
