Jack Spiers
Financial Planning Consultant
Jack has worked in finance since his graduation, starting his career at St James’s Place before moving to Cavendish Brooke in 2021 where he is a lively and valued member of our team. After studying for several years, he achieved his Level 7 qualification as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP™) and Chartered Wealth Manager, demonstrating a considerable depth of knowledge around personal financial planning and the UK investment space.
As a Financial Adviser at Cavendish Brooke, Jack helps his clients in a number of key areas, from retirement planning to advanced tax and investment planning. He values building lasting relationships with his clients, using a long-term approach with financial modelling to allow his clients to improve the financial security of themselves and their families. With regular reviews, Jack keeps clients’ plans up to date and always aims to add value, creating structured plans using tax-efficient solutions and a holistic approach to financial planning. The eventual goal is to take individuals from where they are now to where they ultimately want to be – making the intangible a reality. A large part of this typically includes a map to financial independence on the clients' terms and making crucial decisions at retirement and beyond.
From Gloucester originally, Jack has a wide range of hobbies and interests – from wildlife and conservation to wine and bread-making. Despite Cavendish Brooke’s support of Saracens rugby, he would stress that he is devout fan of Gloucester rugby club and tries to make it to Kingsholm for a game whenever he’s home! Jack initially studied Zoology at the University of Exeter down in Cornwall, where he chose to stay for another year before working abroad in the French Alps. Many years later, Jack now lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife where he spends his free time playing various sports, cooking, and looking after his menagerie of pets (Meatball, Mari, and Nara).
Back in 2022, Jack embarked on a cycle from London to Amsterdam to raise money for the charity Regain, who help support those who have become tetraplegic or quadriplegic as a result of sporting accidents. He hasn’t had the opportunity to go on any further expeditions since then but is determined to find time for another in the near future! In the meantime, Jack is a regular blood donor, giving as frequently as he can, as well as a registered bone marrow donor. Holding a degree in Zoology, some of Jack’s core values are around conservation and wildlife preservation. He strives to give where he can, being an active member and donor to several wildlife charities.
